Meteor Meet & Greet Parking
3 Mar 2010 0:00
Meteor meet and greet parking are the largest operator of airport meet and greet parking services in the country.
Meteor meet and greet parking is a division of Meteor Parking Ltd one of the UK's leading off street parking operators.
Meteor meet and greet parking are the largest operator of airport meet and greet parking services in the country with fully owned and operated facilities at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester Birmingham and Liverpool. More people meet and greet with us than any other company. This division has been created from two highly respected and well established meet and greet parking companies: PAS Ltd and CPS. Each of these companies had over two decades of experience in operating airport parking and Meteor purchased both companies, bringing together 50 years of meet and greet parking management into their new division. Meteor already work with a wide range of organisations including: travel management companies, internal corporate travel departments, travel agents, airlines and holiday companies.
Travellers drive to the terminal where they are met by a uniformed chauffeur. The chauffeur checks all travel details and issues a receipt with the return instructions on it. The car is then taken to a secure compound where it is parked for the duration of the trip. On the return the traveller calls the operations number after clearing customs to arrange the return of the car which is then brought back to the terminal.
Meteor meet and greet parking, the UK’s favourite airport meet and greet operator, has also recently celebrated 26 years of parking.
To mark the occasion, meet and greet drivers modelled a selection of uniforms from the blue PAS shirt in the 1980’s to the burgundy CPS fleece, the grey Boomerang top and finally to the current Meteor uniform alongside a 1984 Volkswagen Golf outside Gatwick’s North Terminal. All of the previous companies were bought and absorbed into the Meteor fold keeping existing experience and as a result Meteor meet and greet is now the most established meet and greet parking operator in the UK. With over a quarter of a century of experience, Meteor meet and greet remember parking the first ever diesel Ford Fiesta around the time when Chaka Khan’s song I Feel for You reached number one in the chart.
Sarah Anglim, director for Meteor meet and greet parking, said: "In the past 26 years, we have satisfied over three million customers ranging from skiers and surfers to families and business travellers, making us the largest operator of airport meet and greet parking in the country."
