Located in Covent Garden, the Grand Connaught Rooms are set in the heart of central London on 61-65 Great Queen Street, just a two minute walk from Holborn tube station and five minutes from Covent Garden tube station.

The building has been the Headquarters of the Freemasons since 1717 and is steeped in history and character.

In 2009 Principal Hayley Group Ltd took over the New Connaught Rooms and spent over £7million on a huge refurbishment of the venue. In October 2009 the Grand Connaught Rooms were relaunched as one of Central London's largest, most sophisticated and high-tech conference and banqueting venues.

The aim of the refurbishment was to create an atmosphere which respects the proportion and detailing of the original architecture while incorporating contemporary furnishing and design sensibilities.

With 30 meeting, training and conference rooms the Grand Connaught Rooms can accommodate a whole host of requirements from a small training event or boardroom meeting to a large conference or an awards dinner. The Grand Hall which is the most impressive banqueting suite in London is able to host over 550 guests for a gala dinner and 1400 for a reception. The venue also has a dedicated training room in the Covent Garden Suite complete with 4 syndicate rooms and private coffee area.

Just a 10 minute walk away is their sister property Hotel Russell, which is located on Russell Square. A spectacular example of late Victorian architecture the Hotel has 373 bedrooms and 21 meeting rooms.
